Athletes of the Week, September 23

Jacob Goodman ’19

Jacob has started off the year strong for the boys varsity soccer team. On Saturday, he scored two clutch goals in a 5-3 win over Canterbury to lead the Wildcats to a win in their season opener. In his first start of his varsity career, Jacob created numerous dangerous scoring opportunities on counter-attacks against a physical and talented Canterbury defense. His tireless work rate put Canterbury’s defense under pressure throughout the game.

Gabby Dicomitis ’18

Gabby had a great start to the season. In her first game as a varsity goalie for the girls varsity field hockey team, Gabby kept a powerhouse St. Mark’s team to only two goals. She had 13 saves in net and was focused and positive throughout the whole game. She will be a big part of the teams’ success this season.

Nick Hill ’17

Nick started the season strong for the boys varsity cross country team. Nick won the race by a margin of 1 minute. He finished in the race in 17:32. Nick has been an exceptional leader to begin the season encouraging our returning runners and welcoming our newcomers.  Nick’s passion for running is contagious and he will be a vital member of our varsity team this fall.

Abigail Touhey ’22

Abigail’s start to her career for the girls varsity cross country team has been terrific. Despite her youth and inexperience as a 7th grade runner she has quickly established herself as a determined, talented runner.   Her efforts coming in second place in the first race at Kent led the Wildcats to their first victory of the season! Abigail has a long career ahead of her.

Alana Serafino ’18

Alana has started strong for the girls’ varsity soccer team this season. On Saturday, against Mrs. Porter’s, Alana played fantastic in goal racking up 10 saves. She was huge in the win for the wildcats. Alana’s presence will be felt all year for the Wildcats.
