At a recent assembly, Academic Dean Greg Tuleja announced the names of students who were designated AP Scholars by the College Board, which administers the tests.<\/p>\n<p>From last year&#8217;s graduating class of 2017, 59 students were honored on one of four categories.<\/p>\n<p>Among current\u00a0juniors and seniors,\u00a018 have been recognized for strong performance on last year&#8217;s AP exams.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The title &#8220;AP Scholar&#8221; was granted to these students with scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP tests:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Papa-Sam Essuman<\/li>\n<li>Anabelle Farnham<\/li>\n<li>Timothy Fay<\/li>\n<li>Madison Fulcher-Melendy<\/li>\n<li>William Lane<\/li>\n<li>Sabrina Liew<\/li>\n<li>Kelly Moncada<\/li>\n<li>Matthew Nguyen<\/li>\n<li>Lydia Pollard<\/li>\n<li>Sophia Schaefer<\/li>\n<li>Xavier Thibault<\/li>\n<li>Glede Wang<\/li>\n<li>Sophie Weed<\/li>\n<li>Anna &#8220;Trixie&#8221; Willems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recognition as an &#8220;AP Scholar with Honor&#8221; was granted to one student who received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of those exams.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ana Weed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;AP Scholar with Distinction&#8221; is awarded to students who receive an average of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of those exams.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Josh Calianos<\/li>\n<li>Shirley Zhou<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;National AP Scholar&#8221; is granted to students who earn an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of those exams.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Derrick Zhao<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to all award-winners for your hard work!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Williston offers many Advanced Placement courses (see our course catalogue for a full listing).
