{"id":1458,"date":"2015-07-22T09:19:08","date_gmt":"2015-07-22T13:19:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/alumni\/?p=1458"},"modified":"2015-07-22T09:19:08","modified_gmt":"2015-07-22T13:19:08","slug":"mark-timm-76-to-be-inducted-into-new-england-basketball-hall-of-fame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/alumni\/2015\/07\/22\/mark-timm-76-to-be-inducted-into-new-england-basketball-hall-of-fame\/","title":{"rendered":"Mark Timm &#8217;76 to be Inducted into New England Basketball Hall of Fame"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Mark Timm \u201976 will be inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame at a ceremony at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA on\u00a0August 8,<\/span> <span class=\"s1\">2015. \u00a0According to a press release from the Hall of Fame, the dinner is one of the largest in the United States and includes over 1,900 people, with\u00a0honorees\u00a0ranging\u00a0from\u00a0high school age\u00a0to those over 65. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8220;Mark was the first male basketball player in Williston history to have scored over 1000 points in his career,&#8221; the press release notes. &#8220;A four year starter on the varsity basketball team, Mark earned 12\u00a0varsity letters across four sports in his four years at Williston\u2014also a school record at the time. \u00a0In 2013, Mark was inducted posthumously into the inaugural class for the Williston Northampton Athletic Hall of Fame.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Read more about his induction to the <a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/2013\/04\/19\/athletic-hall-of-fame-mark-timm-76\/\">Williston Northampton Athletic Hall of Fame here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">While a student at Williston, Mr. Timm earned\u00a012 varsity letters and was named\u00a0captain for three sports. He was starting quarterback on the varsity football team; was scouted by major leagues as a baseball player; and was an All-New England, All-American, and MVP on the soccer team.
