These gifts provide support for academic programs, athletics, the arts, extracurriculars, financial aid and faculty support.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011-2012, the Annual Fund raised $1.42 million. Gifts ranged from $1 from a graduating senior to leadership gifts of $1,841 or more\u2014but the key to the Annual Fund was, and continues to be, participation. In the past five years, nearly 4,000 alumni contributed to the Annual Fund.<\/p>\n<p>In the November appeal, Tim Murphy \u201996 wrote that he contributed to the Annual Fund \u201cbecause this is the first place where I felt connected to something larger than myself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy gifts are small, but consistent,\u201d he wrote. \u201cIt&#8217;s the only quantifiable way that I can be sure Williston Northampton knows that it has made a difference in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year, the goal is to raise $1.5 million by June 30, 2013.
