Bigelow, who attended Northampton School for Girls in 1925-26.\u00a0 Since Northampton School had just opened a year earlier, in 1924, the contents of the album represent some of the earliest images we have.<\/p>\n<p>We don&#8217;t know much about Jean Bigelow \u2014 in fact, her identification in the photograph above is based on an ambiguous caption on another copy of this photo given us by Elva Minuse, class of 1927 (that&#8217;s Elva in the second row, second from right), and comparison with uncaptioned family photos elsewhere in Jean&#8217;s album.\u00a0 Beyond her academic transcript, she left no paper trail in our alumnae records.\u00a0 According to Social Security records, she was born in 1907 and died, aged 78, in 1986.\u00a0 She attended Vassar College, class of 1930, and lived in Worcester, Mass.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4150\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4150\" style=\"width: 1125px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/archives\/files\/2019\/01\/Image11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4150\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/archives\/files\/2019\/01\/Image11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1125\" height=\"997\" srcset=\"https:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/archives\/files\/2019\/01\/Image11.jpg 1125w, https:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/archives\/files\/2019\/01\/Image11-300x266.jpg 300w, https:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/archives\/files\/2019\/01\/Image11-768x681.jpg 768w, https:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/archives\/files\/2019\/01\/Image11-1024x907.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/archives\/files\/2019\/01\/Image11-250x222.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1125px) 100vw, 1125px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4150\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Some of Jean&#8217;s friends.
