<\/a>The Blanket Award is given in recognition of those students who have participated on a team in every season they have been in the upper school at Williston. The following students were presented Blanket Awards at the awards assembly.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
One year students<\/strong><\/p>\n Brian Schmidt, Martha Dolan<\/p>\n Two year students<\/strong><\/p>\n Paul Accorsi, Lyra Sior, Jesse Ware<\/p>\n Three year students<\/strong><\/p>\n Maggie Fitzgerald, Alex Massengill, Matt Mei, Meredith Peppes, Bianca Schultz<\/p>\n Four year students<\/strong><\/p>\n James Borden, Liz Calderone, Emily Cavazuti, Percy Chen, Maddie Hatch, Rosie Lacas, Kaylee Largay, Kevin McLaughlin, Nick Pattison, Taylor Potasky, Zach Pyser, Lindsay Richardson, Ledell Robinson, Mikey Thomson, Anton Wozniak.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Denman Bowl was awarded to Max Willman<\/strong> and Ledell Robinson<\/strong>. Willman, who will attend the Brown University, distinguished himself during his year as an athlete at Williston. captained the boys hockey team scoring over 40 points while earning both team MVP and All New England honors.\u00a0 In the spring, he was an all-league midfielder on the boys\u2019 varsity lacrosse team \u2013 his strong play and leadership were critical to the team\u2019s success. He is an outstanding competitor, a terrific leader and a great teammate.<\/p>\n Robinson, who will attend Trinity College, has been a three sport athlete for four years at Williston earning nine varsity letters along the way.\u00a0 During the fall, he was a two time varsity football MVP while earning All New England recognition during both his junior and senior year.\u00a0 He also tied the school record for most points in a season while accounting for 31 touchdowns and over 2,000 yards in 8 games.\u00a0 During the winter season, he brought his athleticism to the basketball program where he earned varsity letters the past two years.\u00a0 In the spring, he was the starting center fielder in baseball for three years while earning All-League recognition in both his junior and senior years.\u00a0 He is regarding by his coaches as a fearless competitor who always played his best in the biggest games.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Alumnae Bowl was awarded to Gia Parker<\/strong> and Maddie Hatch<\/strong>. Parker, who will attend Dartmouth College, has been an outstanding contributor to the program during her four years at Williston.\u00a0 In the fall, she captained the girls’ varsity soccer team from her center midfield position while earning both MVP honors and All New England recognition.\u00a0 During the winter, she demonstrated her exceptional athleticism by winning four letters \u2013three in girls basketball and one in swimming.\u00a0 Beyond her significant achievement in our program, she is widely considered by all of her coaches to be a selfless teammate, a tireless competitor, and a wonderful ambassador of the athletic program.<\/p>\n Hatch, who will attend Colby College, had an equally impressive career during her six years at Williston earning 14 letters.\u00a0 In the fall, she captained the girls\u2019 varsity soccer team as the team earned a postseason bid every year she was in the program.\u00a0 In the winter, she earned five letters playing on the girls\u2019 varsity hockey team.\u00a0 During the spring, she has been significant contributor to the girls lacrosse program.\u00a0 A four year letter winner, she led the team this spring to a 14-1 record while earning All New England recognition the past two years.\u00a0 Beyond her outstanding accomplishments, she too is widely considered by her coaches for her competitive fire and exceptional leadership.<\/p>\n Walter R.
