On Saturday during the 42-41 victory against Taft, Matt accrued 20 rushing attempts for 81 Yards. One of those rush attempts was a huge 46 yard run in the 4<sup>th<\/sup> quarter that brought the Wildcats within scoring distance. \u00a0In addition to this, he also scored the game tying touchdown in overtime which set up the extra point to win the game. Matt possess a strong work ethic and a tremendous selfless attitude, always putting the team above himself. He leads by example every time he steps onto the field and is a great role model for the younger kids on the team, proving that hard work pays off.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sarah Marion \u201917- Varsity Volleyball<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/sarah-M.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3003\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/sarah-M.jpg\" alt=\"sarah-m\" width=\"189\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sarah had an outstanding week for the varsity volleyball team. On Saturday, against Stoneleigh-Burnham she accumulated 5 digs, 3 blocks, 11 kills and 4 aces combined. \u00a0Sarah additionally played well in serve receive and against free ball attempts in both matches this week against Pomfret and Stoneleigh Burnham. \u00a0Lastly, her leadership and hard work kept the team&#8217;s level of play up throughout both matches.\u00a0Sarah has grown into a great leader for the Wildcats and her work ethic is second to none.<\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nick Hill \u201817- Boys Varsity Cross country<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/nick-hill.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3004\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/nick-hill.jpg\" alt=\"nick-hill\" width=\"189\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nick has been a force for the Wildcats boys cross country team this season. On Saturday, he won the Westminster Invitational in 17:27, a new meet record.\u00a0 Nick ran a smart race, making his move with about 800 meters to go.\u00a0 He held off three other top New England runners to win his first invitational.\u00a0 While Nick\u2019s performance this season has been outstanding, equally important is the leadership he brings every day.\u00a0 He is dedicated to helping his teammates and always brings out the best in those around him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campbell Nyarady \u201819- Girls Varsity Soccer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/campbell-nyarady.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3007 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/campbell-nyarady-e1475598813708.jpg\" alt=\"campbell-nyarady\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Campbell has had a strong start to the season for the girls varsity soccer team. She responded when her team needed her the most by scoring the tying goal with only 7 minutes on the clock on Saturday against Wilbraham and Monson.\u00a0 In a tough, physical battle she found a way to put the ball in the back of the net to preserve the tie under great pressure.\u00a0 She also created numerous other chances to almost put the game in the win column for the Wildcats.\u00a0 She is a hard working competitor every time she steps on the field and her passion for the game is evident by her attitude on the field.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kyle Grabowski \u201920 &#8211; Boys Junior Soccer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/Kyle-Grabowski.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3005\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/Kyle-Grabowski.jpg\" alt=\"kyle-grabowski\" width=\"189\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kyle has been a consistent hard working member of the boys junior soccer team this year. In his first game he helped anchor the defense with a tireless work ethic and intelligent play against a tough Kingswood-Oxford squad. On Saturday, against Rectory School, Kyle scored both goals and helped control the midfield in a hard fought 3-2 loss. Kyle leads by example through his positive attitude and strong enthusiasm for his team and the sport of soccer.<\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Aiden McCreary \u201919 &#8211; Boys JVB Soccer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/aiden-mcCreary.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3006\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2016\/10\/aiden-mcCreary.jpg\" alt=\"aiden-mccreary\" width=\"189\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Aiden has had a great season for the JV B boys soccer team so far. Starting with the first day of practice through both of the Wildcats first two games, Aiden has been a forceful leader who inspires by example. His heart for the game and for his teammates success is clear. In both games this week Aiden has played with enthusiasm, fair play, and determination regardless of the odds.
