The early intervention payed off, and on November 16, Caitlin signed a letter of intent to play lacrosse for Bentley University.<\/p>\n<p>Her coach, Jennifer Fulcher, describes Caitlin a fearless and tough competitor and a creative and impeccable scorer. \u201cHer shot is strong and accurate and she is dangerous around the cage even under high defensive pressure,\u201d Fulcher said.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Caitlin, who plays the attack position, said she enjoys what the sport brings out in her. \u201cI love that hard work and mental toughness that comes with being a lacrosse player,\u201d she said. \u201cIn order to be the best, you have to constantly test and push your limits. Lacrosse teaches you how to be unselfish and work as part of a team. Aside from that I think lacrosse is extremely fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Beginning in third grade, Caitlin played for the Northampton Youth Lacrosse program. She moved to the Northampton High School team as an eighth grader and came to Williston as a sophomore, where she has excelled on and off the field. Out of school, she plays club lacrosse at Indoor Action Sports and Lax Plus Lacrosse Club. Caitlin also sings in the chorus and volunteers for cancer walk-a-thons.<\/p>\n<p>Father James Keefe said her lacrosse skills are just the tip of the iceberg of Caitlin\u2019s strengths. \u201cShe is a team player and will do what it takes to make her team successful,\u201d he said. \u201cShe doesn&#8217;t need to be the center of attention and has a great sense of humor. Off the field she works very hard at school to be successful.
