This week alone she accumulated 4 hits, including a homerun and a double, 4 runs scored, and 5 RBIs against Marianapolis Prep. She continued her dominance against Westminster, as she went 2 for 3 at the plate with an RBI, and again against Berkshire where she muscled another 4 hits, 2 of which were doubles, 3 runs, and 4 RBI’s. An outstanding 3 game week for the junior. Defensively, she played both short stop and 3rd base for the Wildcats, demonstrating her versatility in the field. Gabby has a work ethic that is second to none and always encourages her teammates to give their best effort on and off the field.

Andikan Ntia-James ’18- Boys Varsity Track

Andikan started his season off with a win in the shot put and a second place finish in the discus for the Wildcats. Both throws qualify him for the New England championship meet next month. In the discus, he threw 105’6″, just a foot behind the winner. In the shot put, his furthest throw of 39’9″ bested the Berskshire thrower who beat him in the discus by five inches. He is looking to improve his technique in both the throws, which, without a doubt, will occur thanks to his tremendous work ethic and his attention to detail. Andikan has displayed a positive and helpful attitude every day for the Wildcats.

Alexis Ryan ’17- Girls Varsity Track

Alexis started off her season on a strong note, with three wins across three events. In the discus, she beat out her nearest competitor by 9′ to win with a throw of 102’2″. She defeated the same Berkshire thrower in the shot put, winning with a throw of 32’9″. Alexis also comfortably won the javelin, with a winning throw of 97’4″. While pleased with the marks, she is looking to improve in all three disciplines and to defend her New England title in the discus next month. Not only has she performed extremely well, but she is also a model Wildcat, as she carries herself with dignity and pride and always models good sportsmanship

Jonathan Toth ’20- Varsity Baseball

Jonathan has started the season hot for the Wildcats. After four games, he is leading the team in hitting with a .417 average. He has 5 hits in 12 at bats including 2 doubles. His on base percentage is .500 and his on base plus slugging percentage, which quantifies a players ability to get on base while simultaneously hitting for power, is 1.083. Not only has he played great offensively, but he has been counted on for solid play at second base, which he has risen to occasion and has played excellent. Jonathan is always working his hardest, on the field and in the weight room, to perfect his craft.

Leah Pezanowski ’17 – Girls Varsity Lacrosse

Leah has been a big part of the Wildcats success this season. As a leader on defense for the Wildcats her consistent work ethic and team first mentality are second to none. Her gritty play contributed to the Wildcat’s defensive domination as the team gave up just 3 goals this week. Leah has been hard working, vocal and come up huge for us on defensive end of the field.

Tyler Senecal ’19- Boys Varsity Golf

Tyler has started the season with a bang for the Wildcats. Through the first few weeks of play, he has maintained the lowest match average on the team, a remarkable feat for his inexperience and age. In Saturday’s competition at Farmington Woods Golf Course, Tyler earned match medalist honors with a score of 38 in very difficult course and wind conditions. His score was pivotal in the teams come-from-behind victories over top rivals, Loomis and Avon. Tyler is consistently positive and respectful to his teammates, coaches, and opponents. He encourages his teammates to be the best they can be, leading by example.

Cam Ward ’17- Ultimate

Cam has shown a great amount of leadership at both practice and during games as he carries himself with a quiet confidence. In response to this confidence, his teammates have selected him as their second captain, even though he is a first year Ultimate player. This weekend he continued to explore his abilities as a thrower, finding success in difficult areas, but also dealing with the adversity that came with his risks during match play. Cam’s hard work and team first mentality will continue to be valuable for the Wildcats this season.

Isi Donnelly ‘21– Boys JV Tennis

Isi has been a vital asset for the squad this season as one of the few returning players. He helped to set the tone at the beginning of the year with his competitive nature and toughness. Despite falling just short of victory in his first two matches this season, which included a heart breaking loss in a tie-break, his positive and never say never attitude stood out throughout the week. Isi lends a certain spark to the Wildcats practices and games and demonstrates valuable leadership.

Ella Goodman ‘19– Girls JV Lacrosse

Ella has been a wonderful addition to the girls jv lacrosse program this spring. She has been consistent, reliable, kind and motivated, always putting the needs of her teammates before hers. She anchors the defense and can always be counted on by her teammates. Her constant desire to learn more about the game and improve each day is infectious and is a big reason why the Wildcats defensive unit has gotten stronger every game.

Gabby Jones ’18 –Varsity Softball Gabby has been on fire during the start the season for the Wildcats.
