She scored 2 goals and had one assist against Williams College JV on Wednesday, and continued her great play in the big win over Kingswood-Oxford on Saturday. She created many dangerous opportunities on offense and played outstanding defense helping to stop a dangerous KO team. Madison has been a great leader on and off the field for the Wildcats this season leading by example.\u00a0 She consistently works to make her teammates as well as herself better in every aspect of the game.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Oliver Lawrence \u201918 &#8211; Boys Varsity Cross Country<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/oliver.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3499\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/oliver.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Oliver came to the race on Saturday at Worcester ready to run. He spent the second half of the race moving up and came barreling down a hill with 800 meters left, flying all the way to the finish. His hard work paid off for him and the Wildcats as he finished 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0overall and 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0for the team.\u00a0 This is the first time Oliver has earned a spot in the top 7.\u00a0 As a senior captain, Oliver\u2019s leadership has been second to none as he gives 100% every day.\u00a0 He\u2019s been a strong role model to the younger runners as\u00a0he pushes himself and his teammates to be better every day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Maddy Cardaci \u201920 &#8211; Varsity Field Hockey<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/cardici.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3500\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/cardici.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Maddy has quickly become an integral part of the Wildcats defensive line-up this fall.\u00a0 Playing every minute of the game, shifting positions due to injury on the team, and leading our defensive squad during corners, she has been very consistent and reliable.\u00a0 Her judgement and field vision make her so valuable on defense and her teammates rely on her in every game to slow down the attack and transition the ball back up the field. \u00a0The Wildcats will continue to look to Maddy\u2019s stellar play for the remainder of the season!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Noah Clack \u201918 &#8211; Varsity Football<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/clack.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3501\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/clack.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Noah had an outstanding game in the Wildcats season opener. Playing at home on Saturday, he was a big part of the team\u2019s 28-14 win over Kent. Defensively he produced 11 tackles, 5 for a loss, a sack, and a pass break up. In addition to his stellar play, he has filled his role as captain extremely well. His work ethic this summer has continued into the early part of the season and has become contagious for the younger players on the squad. Noah consistently works to perfect not only his craft, but does his best to encourage every player on the squad to perform at their best.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Abigail Touhey \u201822\u2013 Girls Varsity Cross Country<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/abigail.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3502\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/abigail.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Abigail has had a tremendous start to the season for the Wildcats. On Saturday, she placed 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0out of 50 runners in the race against Worcester and Northfield Mount Hermon.\u00a0 On an extremely difficult course, Abigail passed four opponents in the middle and last mile, finishing first for Williston for the second week in a row.\u00a0 Abigail continues to set the pace for the entire team with her work ethic during practices and her tremendous competitive spirit in races.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Noah Brooks \u201820 \u2013 Boys JVB Soccer<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/brooks.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3503\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2017\/09\/brooks.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Noah has started the season for the Wildcats with a bang! \u00a0On Saturday at Cushing, he managed to get 2 breakaway opportunities, capitalizing on both by putting the ball in the back of the net. \u00a0Since the first practice,\u00a0he has been extremely committed to honing his ball control skills and shooting technique.\u00a0His work ethic has clearly been at the root of his success!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Madison Fulcher-Melendy \u201918 &#8211; Girls Varsity Soccer Madison has had a fantastic start to the season for the Wildcats.
