Her displacement of Westover’s 5th runner accomplished the tie-break in a 28-28 contest, giving Williston the win over Westover, and securing a sweep on the day and an 11-2 record for the season. He continued his great play on Saturday night against Salisbury. He played great defensively, as he was second on the team with seven tackles. In addition to his great play on defense, he provided a solid performance as a special teams return man. Most importantly, he showed great leadership throughout the game and continues to be a great role model for the younger guys on the team.

Fuka Iwama ’18 – Girls Varsity Volleyball

Fuka has been the ultimate team player this year for the Wildcats. Additionally, she leads through example both in her new position and by competing at her highest level every day. No matter the circumstance, Fuka has always given her best. This week, he played two complete games, without substitution, a feat for any athlete. Josh was a consistent and reliable presence at both ends of the pool. His accurate shooting provided timely goals against both Suffield and Wilbraham & Monson, and his sturdy defensive skills were valuable against the faster swimmers in the Loomis and Suffield games. Josh’s steady leadership throughout the season has been valuable to the progress of the younger players in the pool.
