As team captain, he has provided a great example for the younger guys on the squad, by bringing a hardworking and positive attitude every day.\u00a0This past week he beat three highly ranked opponents.\u00a0 On Wednesday, he beat his opponent from Choate,\u00a0winning a close match in the final seconds.\u00a0On Saturday, at the Northern New England Tournament in Bath, ME he beat two opponents who were ranked ahead of him. The first opponent on the day was defeated by pin, despite Max not being in control of the match or position, a true example of his character on and off the mat. The last victory was another thrilling last second win during his final match of the day, qualifying Max for the New England championships this weekend. Max has proven to himself and his teammates, that through hard work and dedication anything is possible!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Tim Fay \u201918- Boys JV Hockey<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/tim.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3744\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/tim.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Tim has had a very productive season for the Wildcats. In the team\u2019s last three competitions, he has managed to score 6 goals and has been crucial to the team\u2019s successes. Tim helps the team compete against strong competition, and serves as a role model through his hard work, sportsmanship, and positive attitude.\u00a0He has been a great fit in his role as co-captain, and his teammates respond to his leadership very well!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Poojaa Prakash-Babu \u201921- Girls JV Squash<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/pooja.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3745\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/pooja.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Poojaa has had a great season for the JV squash team. She always jumps to the challenge of a squash match and is constantly trying to perfect her craft. She always expresses such exuberant energy on and off the court. Her positive attitude helps encourage her teammates and she is extremely coachable. She makes the necessary adjustments in between games, which often result in success. This past Saturday, against Choate, she won her match in 3 games, never backing down during a point. Poojaa is a dedicated squash player, who enjoys working hard to improve her game.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Erin Daley \u201919- Girls JV Basketball<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/erin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3751\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/erin.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Erin has had a great season for the Wildcats. She is a team leader who is always hustling in practices and games and it shows by way of her tenacious defense and rebounding.\u00a0 Erin has scored 43 points on the season but had her best offensive game during a double overtime loss at Hotchkiss.\u00a0 In that game Erin scored 15 points, which included going 7 for 8 from the free throw line. \u00a0She hit two clutch free throws with less than a minute to go to help send the game into the first overtime.\u00a0 Erin has elevated her game this year and her work ethic and attitude have provided great examples for the rest of the girls on the squad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Dylan Robinson \u201822- Boys 4ths Basketball<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/dylan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3746\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/dylan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">On Wednesday against Eaglebrook, Dylan sparked the Wildcats offense which dug the fourths out of a 9-point deficit. Dylan finished with 8 points while creating many opportunities for his teammates to score. Defensively, he has risen to the challenge to guard the opponents strongest ball handlers. Dylan\u2019s leadership and positive attitude throughout the season creates a great example for the rest of his teammates and continues to create success for his team.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Rachel Burke \u201919- Girls JV Hockey<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/rachel.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3747\" src=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/athletics\/files\/2018\/02\/rachel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Rachel, new to the sport of hockey, has made tremendous progress as a skater and overall as a player.\u00a0 Bringing her field hockey experience to the rink, she has proven to be a focused and coachable athlete who plays with desire and heart and has achieved great success this season. In the team\u2019s recent game with Vermont Academy, Rachel scored a hat trick and helped the team to an 8-0 victory.\u00a0 Most of all, Rachel\u2019s work ethic and positive attitude have shown her team that, if you put your mind to it, anything can be achieved!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Max Livingston \u201918- Varsity Wrestling Max has had a quiet, but successful season for the Wildcats this year.
