The Chamber  Orchestra, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensemble left us with many memories  and the full house in the Dodge Room was treated to an evening of  impressive talent. Faculty members  Deb Sherr and Ben Demerath led their  respective groups with smiles and encouraging words, and in the case of  Mr. Demerath, a debut performance on the tenor sax alongside his  players. What resonated most with me was the spirit in the room, from  the audience to be sure, but mostly from the musicians who so clearly  enjoyed their enterprise. Once again, I witnessed abundant evidence of  the positive mentoring that takes place between our talented faculty  members and the students with whom they work.
