Go Wildcats! <a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/Nt3PUJ8coq\">pic.twitter.com\/Nt3PUJ8coq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Josh Seamon-Ingalls (@MrJoshSeamon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MrJoshSeamon\/status\/542410507517317121?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 9, 2014<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>22 students participated in the first round of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mathleague.com\/\">New England Math League<\/a>, with participants spanning all 7 grades: 7th through PG! Each competitor had 30 minutes to work by themselves on the same 6 questions. Each question was worth one point and calculators could be used.<\/p>\n<p>Our team score is made up of the sum of the top 5 scores\u2026 and we put up a solid 21.<\/p>\n<p>Our average score per participant was 2.57.<\/p>\n<p>Complete leagues results (updated through the first two rounds) can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/willistonblogs.com\/mathteam\/files\/2014\/12\/NEML2-Results-ne-hs2-1415.pdf\">right here (PDF)<\/a>. Our score of 52 after the first two rounds puts us at tied for 30th out of 143 teams in New England, and 15th out of 76 teams in MA!<\/p>\n<p>Of particular note is Jack Lee whose combined score of 11 puts him at 26th out of ALL New England competitors!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The next NEML competition will be held on Tuesday, January\u00a013th at 3pm in Schoolhouse 27.
