Robert C. Allen, Jr. ’62

Robert “Cy” C. Allen, Jr. died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the age of 69. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 21, 1944, the son of Robert & Margaret (Clemmer) Allen.

He is survived by his wife Helen Pellegrini (“Josie”), and their daughters Katherine and Elizabeth of Mahopac; his son Christopher of Boston, MA and his mother, Alexandra Allen; and his brothers Richard (WA ’65), Thomas, William, and David (WNS ’78). He was predeceased by his sister Deborah.

Following a successful career of over thirty years in financial analysis at several major companies, including CBS, Inc., Brooks Brothers, and the Woolworth Corporation, he became a stay-at-home father and was active in the school community. Throughout his life he was a family man who was not only a great father, but a loving son, brother, and uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

Visiting was held on Saturday, March 30th at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac at 11 AM with a funeral service that followed at 12 Noon.

  1. Cy’s zest for life was matched by his competitiveness and talent in sports — basketball, baseball and soccer, where I admired his goalie skills. Cy was a really good guy.
