I remember Bob as a very decent guy.
I didn’t really know Bob well ( despite the relatively small size of our class ), but Bob seemed to be a good guy…Heartfelt thoughts and prayers to his partner, family and friends…
Bob was my junior and senior (pardon, upper-middler and senior)-year roommate and best friend at Williston. It was not because we shared many interests, but because of a shared sensibility and an uncommonly warm rapport. Sadly, we drifted farther and farther apart after graduation, even though I have lived most of my adult life not far from where he grew up. When I last met up with Bob at his Shelter Island home in the early 2000s, he seemed to be enjoying a rich and rewarding life.
If either Tom or Richard would like to get in touch with me (ckern@binghamton.edu), I would warmly welcome their doing so.
