Poem style: Haiku<\/p>\n
What is a haiku? A Haiku is a 3 line Japanese poem. It consists of a line of 5 syllables, then a line of 7 syllables, then a line of 5 syllables. (See the examples below)<\/p>\n
RULES
\n\u200bPoem must be in the style of a haiku.
\nPoem must have the word of the month as its encompassing theme. It does not necessarily need to include the work in the poem. See an examples below.
\nPoem must be somewhat appropriate. Sorry.<\/p>\n
Example:<\/p>\n
In Winter<\/p>\n
Precipitation,
\nSent to impede our walking.
\nSo we stay inside.<\/p>\n
TO SUBMIT, please send the email with the subject as ” [Put your name here], FEB Janus Comp ” to janus@williston.com with an attached word document which has in it both your name and the title of your piece.<\/p>\n
The winner will get a GIFTCARD TO TANDEM and be put in Janus!<\/p>\n
