Every month, there will be a word of the month and a different type of poem.<\/p>\n<p>The February Janus Competition<\/p>\n<p>Word of the Month: Snow<\/p>\n<p>Poem style: Haiku<\/p>\n<p>What is a haiku? A Haiku is a 3 line Japanese poem. It consists of a line of 5 syllables, then a line of 7 syllables, then a line of 5 syllables. (See the examples below)<\/p>\n<p>RULES<br \/>\n\u200bPoem must be in the style of a haiku.<br \/>\nPoem must have the word of the month as its encompassing theme. It does not necessarily need to include the work in the poem. See an examples below.<br \/>\nPoem must be somewhat appropriate.
