It is late.
\nThe clattering letters ring through the house
\nas I smith this memo.<\/p>\n
I choose my words with care,
\nmolding each one into it’s line
\nso they are smooth to the ear<\/p>\n
I add color to my work,
\nitalics, and bold
\nin order to embellish my design.<\/p>\n
and so I hit the send button
\nand let my messages set sail into the void.
\nI smile, satisfied,
\nnot knowing what I have done.<\/p>\n
The next morning,
\nI stare into the screen, uncomprehending.
\nMy morning tea shakes in my hand.<\/p>\n
How could this have happened,
\nI whisper to myself again and again
\nas I quickly pounce on the keys
