Happy Sunday and thank you for the great energy today at the orientations and at assembly!\u00a0 We are very excited to get started at the Writing Center.\u00a0 And guess what?\u00a0 The Writing Center is having its 10<\/b><\/span>th<\/sup><\/b><\/span> Anniversary<\/b>…maybe not quite as impressive as 175, but we\u2019re still thrilled.\u00a0 We have a big pile of writing fun planned for you, so get ready!<\/span><\/p>\n

In the meantime, here are the Writing Center hours for this week (these hours will expand and become more exact after the tutors are trained on the 22nd):<\/span><\/p>\n

During the day:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Come visit us!\u00a0 If it is not periods A, E, or F, I am likely to be there.\u00a0 If you know you need to meet at a specific time, just email me and we will set something up.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the night:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

We are open every night for evening study hall from 7:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.<\/b>\u00a0 Isn\u2019t that fabulous?!?\u00a0 Also, Ms. Mantegna and Mr. Cheney are joining me this year for the evening hours.\u00a0 Isn\u2019t that even MORE fabulous?!?<\/span><\/p>\n

ANYONE can use the Writing Center!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Your question can be BIG (\u201cPlease help me improve this summer reading paper!\u00a0 It\u2019s horrible and I\u2019m freaking out!\u201d) or small (\u201cCan you decipher my teacher\u2019s scrawl on page four?\u201d).<\/span><\/p>\n

You DO NOT need an appointment!\u00a0 Later, we will have a fancy sign-up system which you can use if that\u2019s your thing.\u00a0 We love it when people drop by.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Writing Center is on the second floor of the library.\u00a0 There is a candy jar.<\/span><\/p>\n

EVERYONE benefits from help with writing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The tutors are nice people.<\/span><\/p>\n

You will not be the only one going to the Writing Center.\u00a0 We see over 1,000 visits each year.\u00a0 Why not you?<\/span><\/p>\n
