Former Senior Penguin Aquarist at the New England Aquarium has written a book, The Great Penguin Rescue: 40,000 Penguins, a Devastating Oil Spill, and the Inspiring Story of the World’s Largest Animal Rescue, describing the dire circumstances of a group of penguins off the coast of South Africa after the sinking of an oil tanker.

Mt. Tom’s Homemade Ice Cream & Candy Store has introduced a flavor made just for the Williston Northampton School (but everyone can get it of course). Williston Wild-Cake Batter is a cake-batter flavor base with blue sprinkles, and a green marshmallow swirl. Yum!
This weekend, Easthampton area residents are invited to Williston Northampton’s Lossone Rink to peruse and purchase quality, gently used children’s clothing, equipment, furniture, and more from over 120 consigners. The All-4-Kids sale is open to the public on Saturday, March 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 27, from noon to 3:00 p.m. There is no admission fee. On Sunday, many items will be sold at an additional 50% discount.
Congratulations to Williston Northampton alum G.P. Gromacki ’89, Amherst College’s women’s basketball head coach. Gromacki led the team to the college’s first NCAA Division III women’s basketball championship. The Lord Jeffs finished the season with a record of 32-1.
