J. Fernald, ‘81 visited the Williston Northampton campus on Feb. 17. Fernald teaches screenwriting at the European Film College in Denmark. Prior to that he worked as a scriptwriter and Hollywood development executive in Los Angeles for several companies, including Centropolis and Carsey-Werner.

“Trees in an Urban Jungle,” a collection of photographs by Mitch Epstein ’70 have been featured in the New York Times Magazine.
In the magazine’s review Michael Kimmelman wrote of the environments Epstein photographed, “That was the America that Epstein found. The tree series shows the world, specifically the city where Epstein and his family live, as he prefers to see it. It also proves that you don’t have to travel far to go on a journey or to be awed by nature.”
