Due to the confluence of a bad weather forecast for the next 36 hours and Williston’s assessment week, we are adjusting our schedule for Thursday and Friday.
We will delay the opening of the Upper School on Thursday until 10:30 a.m., and the day will begin with Period 1 assessments. The Period 2 review session will remain as scheduled for 1:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m.
On Friday, Period 2 assessments will begin at 8:30 a.m. as scheduled, and Period 6 assessments (previously scheduled for Thursday morning) will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Day families who wish to drop their students off at the regular time on Thursday can do so as the Reed Center and Clapp Library will be open. Those families who use the van pool service should be reminded that the service depends upon the local town’s public school closings, so please plan accordingly.
Ordinarily, we know how difficult it is to alter the school’s schedule without major disruptions cascading, but in this case we are able to do so with what we hope are minimal ripple effects.
Below is the new schedule:
Thursday (delayed start)
10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Period 1 Assessment
1:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m. Period 2 Review
Friday (regular start)
8:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m.: Period 2 Assessment
10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Period 6 Assessment
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we make this adjustment. Please note that our Middle School will communicate via our snowline (413-529-3191) and email on Thursday morning should there be any schedule changes. Those changes also will be posted on Channel 22 and Channel 40. The school’s snow policy is posted online.
As always, the safety of the Williston community is our priority, and we hope this avoids putting our families and faculty in a difficult or dangerous situation because of the weather.
