The audiences at Williston Northampton’s performances of Neil Simon’s Rumors: A Farce are in for a night of “hilarity and chaos,” says Director Emily B. Ditkovski.
Performances of the comedy will be held from October 18-20, 25, and 27 at 7:30 p.m. and on October 26 at 8:00 p.m.
The play begins when Chris and Ken Gorman arrive at the anniversary party for their dear friends Charley and Myra Brock. Myra is missing and Charley, who happens to be the deputy mayor of New York, is barely conscious after suffering a gunshot wound to the ear. Hilarity ensues as Charley and Myra’s closest friends arrive to celebrate. In an attempt to avoid a political scandal, Chris and Ken do their best to hide the truth from the guests; who, it turns out; all have secrets of their own. Written by the father of American comedy, Neil Simon, Rumors: A Farce pokes fun at the high-stakes, frivolous world of upper class New Yorkers.
Tickets for students and seniors are $7 and $10 for adults. For further ticket information please visit www.williston.com/theaterproductions. Entry for Williston students, faculty, and staff is free.
All performances will take place on the Williston Northampton campus in the Williston Theatre at 19 Payson Avenue, Easthampton, MA.
Rumors: A Farce is produced at the Williston Theatre with special arrangement by Samuel French.
