Athletes of the Week – Oct. 27

cowlesMilo Cowles ‘15

Milo has had a successful season for the boys’ cross country team. On Saturday at the annual Shaler Invitational, Milo ran the course in 17:24, which was a personal best of by 26 seconds. With this performance Milo earned the 15th spot on the Wildcats Cross Country Honor Roll of the fastest times by Williston runners.  Milo works hard every day and due to his perseverance has made significant improvements over the course of the year.

 

 

 

wysockiCaroline Wysocki ‘16

Caroline has played exceptionally well all season for the girls’ varsity soccer team. Playing forward for the Wildcats, Caroline scored 2 goals and had an assist in the team’s 3-0 win against Kent last week. Caroline kept the goal scoring streak alive on Friday against Suffield as she netted the first goal in the 6-0 win over the Tigers. Caroline is a gifted player, but her toughness, work ethic and competitive spirit are what sets her apart.

 

 

poehlein Henry Poehlin ‘18

Henry performed very well for the boys jv cross country team on Saturday at the Shaler Invitational. Henry finished 7thoverall in the JV race, in the field of 143 runners.  It is clear that Henry’s hard work has been paying off as he ran his best race of the year with a time of 19:15.  Henry has been pushing himself and his teammates to strive for excellence. His efforts have led to tremendous improvements over the course of the year.
