Athletes of the Week – November 9

ostbergIan Ostberg ’17

Ian is having a remarkable season for varsity football leading the team to a 6-1 record.  Last Saturday, Ian completed six out of seven passes for 206 yards and four touchdowns.  On the season he has thrown for 1800 yards and 24 touchdown passes. Additionally, he is both the Wildcats punter and placement kicker. His competitive spirit and toughness are a significant part of his contribution to the varsity football team.

 

 

macdonaldEmily MacDonald ’16

Emily has played well for the girls varsity soccer team all season. Last week, against a very tough Loomis Chaffee team, Emily led the defense to the 1-0 win.  Emily has played a huge defensive role all season for the Wildcats and has stepped up in every big game.  In addition to anchoring the defense, Emily is a terrific leader and is looked to by her teammates in tough situations.

 

 

hatchJames Hatch ’16

James has been a solid contributor to the boys varsity water polo team all season. On Wednesday, he scored seven goals during his senior day. On Saturday, he performed well as he worked hard on both the offensive and defensive side of the pool against a tough Loomis squad. James is a hard worker and sets a good example for the younger kids on his team.

 

 

foglemanMorgan Fogelman ’16

Morgan has been a strong presence for the girls varsity field hockey team all season. Morgan had an outstanding performance, which contributed to the Wildcats 3-1 win over Loomis on Saturday.  Morgan came up with 10 saves in net during her senior day and was a great leader for the defense.

 

 

 

cheneyIsabelle Cheney ’20

Isabelle has run very well for the girls varsity cross country team this season. Last Saturday, Isabelle ran a 20:23 on the Wildcats home course, placing her at #7 on the Wildcats all-time honor roll. As an eighth grader, Isabelle has a long career left on the Wildcat’s cross country team.

 

 

 

 

adamsHunter Adams ’17

Hunter has been playing outstanding football on both sides of the ball for the JV football team.  Hunter has stepped into a new position at fullback and provided significant pass protection for our quarterbacks and has given the team an inside run threat.  On defense, he is one of the team’s leading tacklers from his outside linebacker position.  Against Eaglebrook, Hunter had numerous solo tackles, as well as an interception in the team’s 22-12 victory.
