Science teacher William Berghoff and five Williston students braved the mid-March snowstorm over spring recess to participate in the Chemistry Olympiad at the University of Massachusetts.

This event brings high school chemistry students from across western New England for a competition that decides the U.S. representatives for the international Olympiad over the summer.

Of the students participating, 22 were selected to continue to the next selection level, including Molly Zawacki ’17!

“It was a great time for all, and a good way to enjoy some academic competition and company over the spring recess,” said Mr. Berghoff.
