The Coconut Grove/Miami event was hosted by Dan Prigmore ’61 and Marcia Hayes at their beautiful penthouse apartment in Coconut Grove (with a rooftop view of Miami).  Dan is a former trustee, and retired real estate investment manager and counselor, who now enjoys his time with Marcia exploring the US and the world by boat and RV.

John Konheim ’61 and Anne Ekstrom were two of the first to arrive. John is retired from his insurance company, who now focuses on his art of line drawing.  Anne is a graduate of Smith College, and they liked to joke that they both graduated in 1961, only Anne graduated college while John was graduating high school.

Kevin Hoben ’65, a trustee since 1998, also joined us, and helped to lead the group in singing the school alma mater.  Kevin is president and CEO of Omega Flex, inc.

Arthur Poundsford ’67 and his wife Lonni Oliver joined us from Ft. Lauderdale.  Arthur is now permanently in Florida after selling his home in Beverly Hills. Arthur enjoys gardening, and was admiring all of the beautiful landscaping around the Prigmore/Hayes rooftop lounge.

Luca Bencini-Tibo ’70, a senior IBM Global Business consultant, and licensed pilot, brought with him his three “blue books,” or student handbooks, to share with the group.  Luca, Dan, and JJohn Hilliard ’72 discussed the amount of travel they do each year, with Luca being a lifetime million-mile member of Delta!

Felipe Barreda ’85 is an account executive and benefits counselor for Colonial Life.  His mother, Tamara Barreda, was former faculty member who taught German.

Mijanou ’86 and Craig ’86 Spurdle joined us, too. Mijanou is a current trustee, as well as first VP at Morgan Stanley; Craig is an orthopedic surgeon at Miami Children’s Hospital.  Mijanou was wearing hot pink pumps, as they were heading to a baby shower after the brunch and “it’s a girl!”

Alex ’02 and Daniella Frere were happy to share the good news that they are expecting their first baby in June! Alex is pursuing his Ph.D. in marine biology, and Daniella is an attorney in Miami.

Quinn Maguire ’09 and his friend Ashdon Stunda were the youngest guests. Quinn who was originally from Cape Cod, now lives in Miami and is working for a division of El Mundo Entertainment. Ashdon is an accountant in the hospitality industry.

Dan and Marcia’s dog Lola, enjoyed the festivities and time getting to know Bob Hill.
