As a co-captain of the girls varsity soccer team, Molly has shown great leadership this season. Last week, her leadership qualities were ever apparent in a week of two ties against very strong opponents in Cushing and Westminster. Arguably, she played her strongest game of the season against Westminster on Saturday night. Her effort was pivotal in shutting down Westminster’s top player.   She also did a terrific job of keeping the focus and energy of the team high.  Molly’s strong steady leadership has been critical to the team’s successful season.

Hunter’s heart and resilience were on full display last Saturday when varsity football found itself in a tough game at Trinity Pawling. Hunter’s work ethic and toughness provided a positive example for everyone on the squad when the going got tough.  As has been his style, he remained a positive and supportive teammate throughout the game both on the field of play and on the sideline.  As a senior leader, Hunter’s coach-ability, dedication and consistent work ethic have stood out all season for the varsity football team.

Liam Coughlin ‘21 – JV Water Polo

Liam has been a force for the boys JV water polo team this season. On Friday, he had a strong game in goal against Eaglebrook with 8 saves, allowing only 5 goals. He also had 3 steals and an assist for the Wildcats. Liam has been playing both in goal and in the field so far this season, but it has been his play in goal that has made great strides over the past two weeks. Liam’s contribution to the team has been a big part of the Wildcats success thus far this season.

Saul Blain ‘17 – Varsity Soccer

Saul has played a huge part in the boys varsity soccer team’s success this season. This past week in games against Choate and Loomis, he led his teammates to great performances against two very strong opponents.  Saul helped the Wildcats outcompete their opponents playing long stretches in both games. As a defender, he has commanded the back line since the beginning of the season, consistently making important tackles to keep the opponent out of the back of the net and winning head balls to restart Williston’s attack. He has done a phenomenal job in all aspects of his leadership role and is an inspiration to the other players on the team.

Owen Randolph ‘19 – Boys JVB Soccer

Owen has performed very well in net for the boys JV B soccer team this season. This week he worked very hard on improving his goalie skills in practice, and it has paid large dividends as he saved numerous shots during the team’s game against Pomfret.   Owen is positive, energetic, and eager to be the best goalie he can be for his teammates.  Owen has set a great example for his teammates in terms of his work ethic and determination to improve.
