Ben Normandin ’19 – Varsity Wrestling

Ben has had a great start to the season for the varsity wrestling team. He has wrestled with great control and poise in the two opening weeks of the season.  Ben managed two pins on Saturday including an incredible 9 second fall.  This ties the fastest pin on record in at least 17 years of at wrestling Williston.  Ben is an extremely dedicated athlete who always demonstrates sportsmanship on and off the mat.

Tori Palumbo ’18 – Girls Varsity Hockey

Tori has had a tremendous start this season playing a key role on the blue line for the girls varsity hockey team. In addition to notching three assists thus far this season, Tori scored a goal in our game against Pomfret on Saturday. Tori has a tireless work ethic, always makes the right decision to get the puck out of our zone and has been jumping in the offense as well.  Tori consistently plays like she’s six feet tall and is a fierce competitor.

Kyle Henseler ’17 – Boys Varsity Basketball

Kyle Henseler has led varsity boys basketball since day 1 as our floor general.  His leadership on both ends of the floor has been critical to our team’s success thus far.   He played particularly well during our competitive loss to AA MacDuffie on Friday and our big win over rival WMA on Sunday orchestrating our offense while chipping in timely buckets and numerous assists.   Kyle sets the tone for the team both on and off the floor with his “team first” attitude and gritty take charge style.

Fiona Bundy ‘18 – Girls Varsity Basketball

Fiona had a huge defensive performance this week against both St. Mark’s and Suffield for the girls varsity basketball team. Fiona chipped in a 3 pointer late in the game to increase our lead against St. Marks finishing the game with 5 assists and 7 rebounds. Against Suffield, she had an outstanding defensive game, holding their leading scorer to 9 points while corralling 9 rebounds off the boards. Fiona leads by example through her work ethic and never surrender attitude.

Will Lane ’18 – Boys JV Squash

Will is 3-0 on the season for the boys jv squash team, picking up wins against Berkshire, Eagle Hill, and powerhouse Deerfield. He came from 1 game down to defeat his talented opponent from Deerfield 3-1 on Saturday. In addition to his great performances on the court, Will has been an important leader for the team off the court.
