Sarah Wilkie to Play Ice Hockey at Penn State University

20111113 Norton 022Sarah Wilkie ’12 (Ashby, MA) signed a letter of intent to play ice hockey at Penn State University in the fall of 2012. Penn State has recently established a women’s ice hockey program, and Sarah is excited to be among 13 new players signed this year.

Sarah is currently the captain of the Varsity Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, and Lacrosse teams at The Williston Northampton School and has excelled in the classroom, as well as the school’s athletic fields and rink.  She is excited to be joining the Nittany Lions next fall.

“I chose Penn State because I loved the campus and the atmosphere there. People love being a part of Penn State and are very enthusiastic about Athletics. I was also attracted to it because they are building a new program, which will be a fun experience for me to be on the first-ever varsity team. My mother and several of my cousins are Penn State alumni, so we’re a big family of Penn State fans,” said Sarah of her choice.

Sarah is joined at Williston by her brother, Ryan, Class of 2013.

Congratulations, Sarah!
