There are a lot of great athletic events coming up this weekend:The wrestling team is taking part in a tournament at Tabor Academy. Boys basketball will play against basketball alumni at 10:30 a.m. in the Athletic Center and then head to Taft for a holiday jamboree that afternoon at 2:30 p.m. The varsity girls hockey team will travel to Union College for a jamboree that begins at 2:00 p.m., and the boys hockey team has a home game at 4:30 p.m. against Canterbury. Good luck, Wildcats!
Due to inclement weather we will postpone the Student vs. Faculty Soccer game until we return from Thanksgiving Break. We all want to play this game, and others like it. Keep the ideas coming to me and your Student Council. Your health and well-being is our priority. Study hard, take care of yourself, and have confidence on your assessments.
So tomorrow, the girls varsity field hockey team has our first playoff game on Sawyer Field @ 2:30 p.m. We would really appreciate if the whole school could come out and support the girls! It would mean so much to us and would help us win BIG!
Find some time in your half-day Wednesday to come out and support your girls on their journey to be New England CHAMPS! Thanks again! Also, good luck to the football team in their Bowl Game! Go get ’em, boys!
Love,
The Field Hockey Girls
P.S. Coach Garrity may make an appearance and she just had Baby G!
Do you want to play in the Student vs. Faculty soccer game on Monday, November 17 from 6-7 p.m.? If so, check with your winter coaches to see if you’ll be available. Please let me know you are in, and what position you would like to play. The deadline to sign up is this Friday at 3:30 p.m.
This is open to any Upper School student and faculty who want to play. Both teams will have five male and five female players on the field at all times, plus a goalie of the coach’s choice.
We’ll be playing two 25-minute halves on Sawyer Field. This game will be played in the spirit of sportsmanship and having community fun. Thanks to Mr. Rutherford and Ms. Chambers for being the commentators.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon, and we’ll see you on Sawyer Field. Go Wildcats!
On Friday, November 14, the Afternoon Program will celebrate the Wildcat’s fall season with a dinner from 5:30pm-7:00 p.m.
The Dining Hall will be closed for the evening, so if you are a student without a formal team or in a Special Project, please contact me by Wednesday.
Congratulations on a great fall season! And GOOD LUCK to varsity field hockey and varsity football in the playoffs!

This Friday night, the girls soccer team will be hosting a cookie baking contest (thank you, Sarah Sawyer!) to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research. We will be sporting our pink jersey’s for our 5:30 game against Suffield. Participants will pay an entry fee of $7.50 to try all of the cookies. Once they have stuffed their faces, they will vote for their favorite cookie. The baker with the most votes, will win a customized Pink on the Pitch Cookie Baking Contest Champion long-sleeve shirt and a $20 tandem gift card. Participants who vote will also be eligible to win a gift card.
Bakers will showcase their cookies name and have anywhere between 3-4 dozen cookies (The only rule is that the cookies cannot contain nuts). The contest will be taking place before and during our game.
It’s going to be a great night!
