The girls varsity volleyball team held a Dig Pink fundraiser at the varsity football game on Friday night. Coach Rachel Chambers reported that donations from the crowd brought Williston varsity volleyball to a little over 50% of their total goal of $1,000.
This week, the team will be putting donation buckets will also be placed in each dorm. The “Pink Buckets” will be tallied to see whether girls dorms or boys dorms raise the most.
“If we reach $1500,” says Ms. Chambers, “Chambers, Rutherford, and Mikey Lloyd will have new hair dos.”

If you want to make an appointment, just email writing@williston.com; otherwise, just stop by for a pain-free conversation about writing and/or a Starburst.

Hi all,
Just a friendly reminder from your fun folks at TWOW. TWOW (theatre without walls) will be meeting and playing games and having tons of fun tomorrow, Tuesday, at 2:45 in the Studio Theatre. For those that don’t know where the Studio Theatre is….follow the hallway where the bathrooms are in the science building down past the teacher’s lounge, and then you will see Ben, Oliver, myself, and others. Come there tomorrow after school. We will be having a really great time. Even if you’ve never done any improv before, come. It’s a judgement free zone. There will be laughter. Laughter is good.
We will be having pick-up ultimate tonight, Tuesday, starting at 6 pm on Sawyer Field, under the lights! This is open to anyone and everyone who wants to play. Also, it is a great way to get ready for the spring ultimate season if you are interested in improving your skills. No prior experience necessary!
Many of you have already had senior portraits taken at home, and others will soon do so. Please refer to the guidelines below for the portrait you submit for the formal senior section of the yearbook.
Others of you may wish to have elaborate photo shoots done local to school; please email Ms. Michalski for a list of local photographers with studios near to campus who have worked with Williston students in the past, many within walking, bus, and/or taxi distance from school.
Today is the last day that students will be permitted to add new courses. The drop period will extend until interim comments are issued in a few weeks, but as of today, no new courses may be added. This does not apply to level changes (Spanish III Honors to Spanish III, for example), since some of these evaluations, especially for new students, are still being worked out. If any student feels compelled to drop a T1 course before interim comments are submitted (October 17), the student may do so, with the agreement of the faculty advisor, parents, college counselor for seniors, and Academic Dean, but the course will not be replaced until the beginning of T2. Thanks!
