Health Alert Update

On Friday night, Easthampton had a hard frost. As a result, we have lifted the ban of outdoor activities from dusk to dawn that has been in effect due to a high risk for serious mosquito-borne illnesses (EEE and West Nile Virus).

Outdoor activities may now resume since the temperature fell below 28 degrees for a minimum of two hours. The city of Easthampton is also lifting its nighttime activity restrictions.

Thank you for your help and patience as we took the necessary precautions to ensure that our community is safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Bob Hill

Pink on the Pitch

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, the girls soccer team will be working and playing to raise money for a local charity. The team will be wearing pink during their game against Suffield (10/27) honoring the Autry family (Alex and Ashleigh). I have included a link to our most recent soccer blog post further explaining our donation choice.

A couple of things will be happening throughout the next two weeks. During lunch next week, the girls will be selling breast cancer awareness bracelets for $2 each and on Friday night (10/26) the team will be hosting a raffle and a bake sale at the boys soccer game vs. Suffield Academy.

Employees: If you would like to volunteer and help us bake, please let me know! We are still looking for a few volunteers to help us sell yummy treats.

Thank you for all of your support and we’re looking forward to a great weekend.

PSAT and Activities on Wednesday

On Wednesday, October 17, sophomores and juniors will be taking the PSAT. Freshmen and seniors will have class-specific activities during the morning. Seniors, please report to the dining commons by 8:45 a.m. for a presentation by Larry Dow, Dean of Admission and Financial Aid at Trinity College. Following Mr. Dow’s presentation, the College Counseling Office and members of the English faculty will offer application and essay support.

Freshmen should report to the Dodge Room at 8:30 a.m. After a brief overview of the morning’s plan, the class will break out into advisories and participate in a program that is part of the C.O.R.E. (Curiosity, Organization, Reflection, and Empathy) curriculum.
