Field Trip to Classics Day on Jan. 17

Williston students will be traveling to Mt. Holyoke College on Friday, January 17 for an all-day regional high school Latin event. The annual event, known as Classics Day, is optional for students in all levels of Latin.

Best of luck to the following Upper and Middle School students, who will be attending Classics Day: Jen Cavazuti, Nick Hill, Henning Fischel, Sima Gandevia, Yoonji Kim, Ryan King, Kelby Reid, Josh Simpson, Evan Stark, Chase Tanguay, Molly Zawacki, Mason Chiulli, Gabe Moon, Jessie Schuhlen, Jaden Tanguay, Ryan Dwyer, Dora Gordon, Ben Griffiths, Theo King, Benson Luddy-Dunn, Orlee Marini-Rapoport, DJ Poulin, and Molly Solan. Teachers Emily Vezina and Beatrice Cody will oversee the trip.

Failure to show up for an Activity you signed up for without notifying the Dean on Duty, Mr. Spearing, or the faculty chaperone will result in a Unit and loss of weekend privileges.

Thursday, December 12, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Tomorrow students have a wonderful opportunity to attend an event related to their course.  Students will be given an introduction to the museum through guided tours of the Center’s exhibits, followed by the program “Becoming Americans,” which includes the experiences of 20th century immigrants as well as immigrants today.

Students who are registered for “Immigration: Past & Present” are required to attend this field trip as part of their course work.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact Dave Koritkoski or Kim Evelti.

  • Pioneer Valley Ballet presents The Nutcracker at Academy of Music, Departs Schoolhouse at 12:30 p.m.  Show begins at 1 p.m.
    • Students: $15 Rush Tickets available 30min before the performance. High School ID required.  Sign up ASAP.

Tuesday December 17

  • Community Banquet in Birch Dining Commons 5:45 p.m.  Seating with dorm.

Wednesday December 18

If you sign up for weekend activities, you are expected to attend.  If you do not attend, and do not alert Mr. Spearing, the faculty chaperone, or the Dean on Duty prior to the event you will lose weekend privileges the following week.
