Community Service Speaker Series Debut

Community Service Speaker Series, created by the Community Service Club and debuting this week, aims to highlight leaders in local non-profit and service positions. Club members hope that the series illustrates how community service work can be integrated into life after Williston, showing the array of ways in which people “do good well”—be it in their professions, or on the side.

The first speakers in the series will be Nisa Zalta, Director of Community Relations at Riverside Industries, and Jeffrey Yeager P’17. Mr. Yeager is a board director and member of the finance committee at the Western Mass Food Bank.  He has also worked with Goodwill Industries (as former president), the Red Cross, Coolige Hill Foundation (for almost 10 years), and the Berkshire Museum.

The first Community Service Speaker Night is tonight at 7 p.m. in the Dodge Room, Reed Campus Center.  This initial event is only open to the Williston community, but the club plans to open future events to the public. The event will be followed by an AP English 12 Poetry Reading.
