Concussion Training for all Parents, Faculty, Students

In an effort to increase awareness about the importance of proper concussion recognition and management, the School is requesting that all students, faculty, and parents complete an online course about concussions, and their effect on participation in sports.

There are two online courses that are available to all at no cost.  We ask that you please view one of these courses prior to the opening of school in September. The two links are:

Upcoming Schedules and Assignments

In the Dean’s office, Dave K and Christa have been putting on the finishing touches of housing and advising assignments, as well as planning for Orientations for all classes at the opening of school.  They report being particularly excited about the Proctors’ return to campus on Sept. 4th for training and to kick off the student experience for the upcoming year!

A Day at the Races in Saratoga

Williston Northampton in hosting A Day at the Races in beautiful Saratoga, New York, on Saturday, August 11. Alumni, parents, friends, former faculty, and all employees are invited to join us! Grandstand tickets are $12 per person.

Here are the details:

Racing begins at 12:30 p.m. (Gates open as early as 10:30 a.m., and for best parking options, you should plan to arrive by 11:00 or 11:30 a.m.)

Dress for the races is summer casual. Collared shirts and no jeans.

Mandatory All Employee Meeting

On Thursday August 30, 2012, there will be a mandatory all employee meeting in the theater from 1 PM to 3:15 PM. On the agenda for this meeting: Bullying, Harassment, and Hazing Prevention. We will also have a representative from ING to give us an update about the upcoming changes to our retirement plan. We will also review Emergency Response Preparedness. All employees are required to attend.

Roller Derby Bout on August 4

Williston will be hosting one more roller derby bout this year… on Saturday, August 4th. We have loved playing at Williston this year and would love to see you there! Bring friends, bring your kids, bring the family! Fun times had by all!

Announcing:  AUGUST 4th – HOME TEAM HEAT WAVE!

Join PVRD for a double header! Home team bout for the women – Florence Fightin’ Gals vs. Quabbin Missile Crisis, and the Dirty Dozen vs. CT Death Quads. Slamdinista (Rachael) and I skate for the Fightin’ Gals, so feel free to wear blue and cheer us on!
