School Year Abroad sends high school juniors and seniors to study abroad in distinctive cities and towns throughout Europe and Asia where their safety and security is a priority. Widely considered the ‘gold standard’ of high school study abroad programs, SYA’s rigorous academic curriculum, paired with complimentary educational travel and varied extracurricular activities, ensure students are in an optimal position to return to their home schools or proceed to college. Visit this website (www.sya.org) for further information.
Weather permitting, and unless there’s some other major campus event (like Advisory Dinners) that I’m forgetting…

This Friday night, the girls soccer team will be hosting a cookie baking contest (thank you, Sarah Sawyer!) to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research. We will be sporting our pink jersey’s for our 5:30 game against Suffield. Participants will pay an entry fee of $7.50 to try all of the cookies. Once they have stuffed their faces, they will vote for their favorite cookie. The baker with the most votes, will win a customized Pink on the Pitch Cookie Baking Contest Champion long-sleeve shirt and a $20 tandem gift card. Participants who vote will also be eligible to win a gift card.
Bakers will showcase their cookies name and have anywhere between 3-4 dozen cookies (The only rule is that the cookies cannot contain nuts). The contest will be taking place before and during our game.
It’s going to be a great night!

A friendly reminder from the Security Office that there is no parking on the main campus loop road (per the Employee and Student Handbook). Please keep in mind the following information:
1. For several reasons, including safety, we would like to keep the main campus loop road clear of parked vehicles. The only exceptions to parking on the main campus loop road are parents dropping off/picking up students, Admission guests, short-term service vehicles (per the Physical Plant), food deliveries and major events.
2. ALL employees and students must have a valid, visible parking sticker on their vehicle(s). Staff may register their vehicles with Barbara Shepard, the Physical Plant Administrative Assistant. Students must register their vehicle(s) with the Dean’s Office. If there have been any changes to your vehicle(s) you must let the issuing party know of the changes.
3. Please be mindful of parking near fire hydrants on campus, two of which are on the main campus loop road. Massachusetts law states that vehicles shall not be parked within 10 feet of a fire hydrant.
It’s Green Week…Eat your vegetables and make a visit to the Writing Center!
(It’s better than eating spinach, we promise.)
Here are the hours for this week:
Sunday (tonight!)
7:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. (study hall)
Monday
8:40 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. (D, F, C)
7:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. (study hall)
Good morning,
I want to make all of you aware that I’ll have a contractor on campus today, Oct. 20, who will be working to eliminate the trip hazards that we have on some of the sidewalks.
The general locations will be the front of RCC, the Athletic Center, Payson Ave, and a few areas on Main St.
The work should not be that disruptive, but the areas they are actively working in should be avoided.
Once again, thank you for your cooperation.
Have a great day.
Joe
Hello, Wildcats!
This upcoming green week (October 20-24) we will be having our first Spirit Week!
So, for Spirit Week, there will be a different theme on every day of the week. Keep in mind that parents will be around next week, and thus, it is important not only that we are in dress code, but that we look presentable. The themes, are:
Monday: Mix-and-Match Day
Tuesday: Young Intellectual Day
Wednesday: Ugly Sweater Day
Thursday: Twin Day
*Friday: Williston Apparel (Dress Code, sweatshirts are allowed, school colors)
Spirit Week is a great opportunity for everyone to build school spirit and pride by being creative, working with each other, and dressing according to the theme of the day. Please recognize that dress code is still in effect for this week, so please maintain the appropriate spirit and good will that this opportunity affords each of you.
*Friday is Williston wear from the waist up; no athletic attire and no sweatpants. With many parents and others on campus, dress to impress in your blue and green! Any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask Mr. Koritkoski or Ms. Noble.
Come show off your talents and watch your friends!
Music, singing, poetry, spoken word, hidden talents.
