Williston Latin students will take the National Latin Exam from 2:50-3:40 p.m. in the Chapel today. Offered by the American Classical League, the National Latin Exam is taken by over 300,000 Latin students throughout the world. The contest gives our students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of Latin and the classical world. Williston Latin scholars earning awards on this test are acknowledged during ceremonies at the end of the school year. Good luck, Wildcats!

Arete Study Sessions on Feb. 26 and March 2
Arete is planning a wonderful study opportunity—another study session for finals! Those of you who went last time know how productive it was, but this time, it’ll be twice as good because we are holding two sessions to honor the split exam week.
On Wednesday, February 26 from 4-6 p.m., come to the classrooms beneath the chapel. You can meet with any Arete tutor and study a subject with which you need a little boost! Plus, there will be pizza and baked treats. What’s not to like?
On Sunday, March 2 from 1-4, p.m. come back to the same spot! We will all be there ready and excited to help you.
Look for some posters and listen for an announcement reminder!

Community Service Speaker Series Debut
Community Service Speaker Series, created by the Community Service Club and debuting this week, aims to highlight leaders in local non-profit and service positions. Club members hope that the series illustrates how community service work can be integrated into life after Williston, showing the array of ways in which people “do good well”—be it in their professions, or on the side.
The first speakers in the series will be Nisa Zalta, Director of Community Relations at Riverside Industries, and Jeffrey Yeager P’17. Mr. Yeager is a board director and member of the finance committee at the Western Mass Food Bank. He has also worked with Goodwill Industries (as former president), the Red Cross, Coolige Hill Foundation (for almost 10 years), and the Berkshire Museum.
The first Community Service Speaker Night is tonight at 7 p.m. in the Dodge Room, Reed Campus Center. This initial event is only open to the Williston community, but the club plans to open future events to the public. The event will be followed by an AP English 12 Poetry Reading.
