Starting on November 18, the Physical Plant will be making repairs to the stage at the Williston Theater. This work will be fairly extensive and is scheduled to be completed by the 26. The main theater area will not be available for any type of functions or meetings during that time. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please let us know right away.
Thanks

Dear Williston Community,
Just a heads up to everyone that we “fall backwards” one hour this coming Sunday morning with our clocks– gaining an additional hour of sleep! In order to adjust to the shorter days ahead, the schedule below (“cut and pasted” from Special Schedules) will go into effect for the last week of the Fall Afternoon Program. Our fall season is quickly slipping away!
Go Wildcats!!!
Week of November 4, 2013 – Daylight Saving Time has ended (BLUE week)

Please make a note that the annual Rag Shag Parade is tonight. This terrific community event for young children is sponsored by the City of Easthampton, and it’s a favorite fall tradition. The rain date is Wednesday, October 30.
The parade route is as follows:
The parade will begin at Maple Street School. It goes down Cottage Street, bears right on to Union Street, goes around the rotary, and then on to Park Street. The parade ends in front of the Reed Campus Center.
The driveway around the quad will not be accessible from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Pick-up alternatives for families are the Athletic Center or the Middle School. Please make note for your commute tonight.
Hooray for Halloween!
Tomorrow students will be talking with their advisors about afternoon programs for the winter trimester. The following information was sent by Jay Grant on options and requirements.
All Upper School students are required to participate all three trimesters.
11th and 12th grade – minimum of one group option per year
9th and 10th grade – minimum of two group options per year
8th grade – must participate for two trimesters in two different group options
7th grade – no required participation
In an effort to provide our students with a safer learning environment, the School will be requiring all full time employees, faculty and staff, seasonal coaches and any other employee who has regular contact with students to participate in CPR/AED (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation/Automated external defibrillator) training by the end of the academic year. Jay Grant will be contacting department managers/supervisors to arrange training sessions for their employees. The cost of this training will be covered by the school.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Jay Grant jgrant@williston.com or Kerry Beth Garvey kgarvey@williston.com if you have any questions.
