Dig Pink with Varsity Volleyball

Hey Everyone,

Varsity Volleyball is doing a fundraiser called DIG PINK®. DIG PINK® is part of the Side-Out Foundation which is devoted to Cancer Research.

Here is the link to our campaign. Please check out the site and donate.

We will be selling a limited number of DIG PINK® t-shirts in the upcoming weeks.

On October 18th at 5:30, we have a night game against Worcester Academy. Our goal is to have everyone in the stands wearing DIG PINK® shirts or pink t-shirts.

We will have other fundraising aspects to come on campus. We’ll tell you more about them in assembly.

Please donate! If we get enough money, our coaches, Ms. Chambers and Mr. Rutherford, and manager, Mikey Lloyd, will be sporting new hairdos. Details to follow!

Senior Portrait Guidelines

Hello Seniors!

Many of you have already had senior portraits taken at home, and others will soon do so.  Please refer to the guidelines below for the portrait you submit for the formal senior section of the yearbook.

Others of you may wish to have elaborate photo shoots done local to school;  please email Ms. Michalski for a list of local photographers with studios near to campus who have worked with Williston students in the past, many within walking, bus, and/or taxi distance from school.

Math Tutor Schedule, Trimester 1, Blue Week

Hi Everyone.

I have attached a ‘skeleton’ math tutor schedule below for this week.  We have received all applications for new tutors and will be training the group this week.  The schedule will be much fuller beginning a week from tomorrow, perhaps even sooner, so stay tuned!

I wanted to bring your attention to the fact that two of the Math tutors will be offering help during the first hour of study hall.  James Kim will be available on Tuesday evenings and Matt Mei will be available on Wednesday evenings.  They will be working in the Middle School.  Mr. Whipple will be proctoring the study hall that is held in the Middle School and the tutors will be in the same building.  So, if you are a boarding student, you can sign out to the Middle School during the times listed on the schedule and get your help in the evening if you can’t make it during the school day.  If you are a day student then you are welcome to drop in between 8 and 9 to get some extra support.

I look forward to sending out a more complete schedule within the next week so that everyone has the opportunity to take advantage of this great service.

Ms. Anderson

Add/Drop

Today is the last day that students will be permitted to add new courses. The drop period will extend until interim comments are issued in a few weeks, but as of today, no new courses may be added.  This does not apply to level changes (Spanish III Honors to Spanish III, for example), since some of these evaluations, especially for new students, are still being worked out.  If any student feels compelled to drop a T1 course before interim comments are submitted (October 17), the student may do so, with the agreement of the faculty advisor, parents, college counselor for seniors, and Academic Dean, but the course will not be replaced until the beginning of T2.  Thanks!

Mr. Tuleja
