Demerath in Concert on April 27

Williston’s own Ben Demerath will be playing in a concert at the Iron Music Hall on Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m. with Chris Brashear.

This is also a CD release concert for Heart Of The Country, Mr. Brashear’s project that was released late in 2012 and reached No. 1 on the International Folk Music DJ list last November. The album features guest artists Pat Enright, Mike Compton, Tim O’Brien, Al Perkins and Todd Phillips and is produced by Grammy Award winner Jim Rooney (Nanci Griffith, Iris Dement and John Prine).

Mr. Brashear and Mr. Demerath will be joined by the wonderful Paul Kochanski on bass along with Mr. Brashear’s daughter, Hollis Brashear, who sings on Heart Of The Country. Mr. Brashear is a wonderful singer, songwriter and musician as a virtuoso fiddle, mandolin and guitar player who’s been playing with Robin and Linda Williams for several years now.

Mr. Demerath says, “We’re having a lot of fun working up arrangements of each other’s songs along with some new ones and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with him.”

Tickets are available at the Northampton Box Office or from Mr. Demerath. Cost is $12.50 in advance and $15.00 at the door.
