Field Trip to Museum of Fine Arts, Boston on Feb. 12

On February 12, students from the Honors Latin IV and AP Latin will enhance their study of Graeco-Roman culture, history and literature by visiting the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston for a guided tour and individual research.  Browsing the museum’s world class antiquities collection will give students the chance to examine representations of the myths, historical figures and daily life objects about which they have been reading in Latin, as well as to explore the influence Greek and Roman culture have had on western art through the centuries.

This field trip, which will take place from 7:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., is required for students who are enrolled in AP Latin and Honors Latin IV.  If you have questions or concerns please contact Beatrice Cody.

AP and Honors Latin IV students enjoyed a field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston Thursday, where we had the chance to see a number of famous classical art works up close--including this colossal statue of the goddess Juno!
