Open Studios This Weekend

Santa Croce, Florence, Italy. 2012

Janine Norton and I are participating in the Open Studios this weekend at One Cottage Street. We’ll have the studio open and work for sale Friday, 12-5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday, 12-5 p.m.

I’ve got a new group of images that I’ve been working on that are images from the last photo expedition to Italy and they’re utilizing a process that I teach to the Photo Four class.

Janine has work from her Forbes show and small works that use a plaster/inkjet hybrid process. See a portfolio of her work here.

Encourage any and all in your universe to stop by Studio #4-15 on the ‘Pond Side’. In the building is also Justin Thomas ’90 of Ugone & Thomas Company.

Thanks,
Ed Hing

World Civilizations Africa Museum

Hi All,

I’m writing to let you know that we will be holding the World Civilizations Africa Museum in the gym on Tuesday, November 6 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.  Students are working on research projects in which they focus on a global issue and its application in sub-Saharan Africa.  The primary way that the students will then demonstrate their understanding is by putting together a museum display.

Following the viewing at 7:30, Ben Demerath and Paul Luikart will talk about their experiences living and traveling in Africa.  We would love to get lots of people to attend!  If you would like ideas about how to use the museum as an extra credit opportunity for your classes please let me know.

Thanks,
Sarah Klumpp, Donnie McKillop, and Peter Valine (the World Civ Team)
