CID presents Anthony Leung ‘15 this Tuesday at 6:00 pm in the Cox Room
Anthony is a performer of the art of mind reading and control. He has been been featured on BBC radio, Sky News, Shieldsgazette and a few Video blogs. The Grand Report (a blog featuring urban videos) titles his video as “Unbelievable Psychic Mind Reader”, attracting 30,000 views on their website. He explores the potential of the human mind by displaying the possibility of mind reading. In this CID night he will be revealing how someone can use the skill of observation and the idea of belief to control our own minds.
Don’t miss your chance for the BEST MAGIC OF THE YEAR!
One of the themes of the AP curriculum is beauty and aesthetics. The students are currently studying art, beginning with drawing, in order to catch the tail end of the acclaimed Mount Holyoke exhibit “Matisse Drawings” (which closes Dec. 14).
The museum staff provided French teacher Sue Michalski with reprints of the art displayed, and her students prepared exposes, which they will present in French, in the museum, in front of the actual work of art. Ms. Michalski described it as “a wonderfully rich and unique opportunity.” After the museum, the class will have lunch at a French restaurant, where they will continue their French discussion of the larger exposition.
