Tonight, Wednesday, April 30, will be an optional practice from 6-7 p.m. in the gym for the Brian Crockett Volleyball Tournament teams. The deadline for submitting your team is has also been extended to tonight, so make sure to contact Ms. Chambers!

The 1st Annual Brian Crockett Volleyball Tournament will be held on May 2 at 6:00 p.m. in the gym. Until then, there are optional practices every Sunday night from 6-7 p.m. in the gym to learn volleyball basics.

Here are the rules for the teams:

1. Your team needs to have at least one person of each gender.
2. You can have a max of 2 Varsity Volleyball players per team.
3. You can have a max of 2 Williston teachers per team.
4. Team names aren’t required, but why not make one for fun?!

Both Varsity Volleyball coaches will be refs for the tournament and therefore not participating. Mr. Crockett loved competition and was a great supporter of this sport and events like this, so we hope you can join us!

Good Morning Williston!

As many of you may already know, there was a huge accident in Korea about a week ago.
A ferry, carrying a total of 400 passengers with 325 high school students, sank on its way to Jeju island, on the south coast of Korea. About 150 students are still in the ferry, presumably already dead. Every hour more dead bodies are being found, and as you can tell, this is a very hard time for every Korean. Luckily, no Korean in our school has been directly affected by the accident—but we all know of someone who was.

Tomorrow night at the Korean Cultural Night, we are going to have a Moment of Silence to commemorate this accident and wish the best for the survivors of the terrible event. We will be selling Korean snacks, and accepting donations as well, so any support would mean a lot to us. The collected money will be used to help out the restoration process.

This is a way to show our respect and love to people who have had great losses—let’s make sure that we show the best of Williston out there tomorrow.

Annual Notice of Open Enrollment meetings for the July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015 plan year

Location: Cox Family Room, Ford hall
Dates/times: Monday, May 5th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Tuesday, May 6th from 11:00 – 2:00 pm

Come as your schedule permits.

The meetings will cover: Health insurance open enrollment –Health New England – enrollment and/or changes; dental open enrollment in Delta Dental; Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) enrollment; Life, AD&D and Long Term and Short Term Disability with Mutual of Omaha.

All benefit eligible employees are required to fill out a benefit election form even if you are not participating in our plans; if you waive health insurance you must also fill out a health insurance responsibility disclosure form (HIRD) per the state of Massachusetts’ health insurance requirement.

Calling all dreamers, procrastinators, writers, notebook-doodlers, friends, chocolate chip cookie-lovers, authors-to-be, people who are afraid of the blank page, and any other breathing human being (that means YOU!)

This trimester, I am pursuing a senior project in creative nonfiction and memoir centered writing. I have focused on written identity and personal reflection through free-writing, and now it is YOUR turn to take part in what I’ve learned!
