Lorraine Lucadello, former employee

LucadelloLorraine (Praxel) Lucadello, 90, of Southampton, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Linda Manor Extended Care Facility in Leeds.

She was born Nov. 27, 1923, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Strelow) Praxel. She was the widow of Robert G. Lucadello.  Lorraine and her late husband Robert, who was a U.S. Air Force Officer serving in World War II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam, traveled extensively and settled in Southampton in 1969.

Lorraine was employed as secretary to the head master of Williston Northampton School in Easthampton.  She retired in the 1990’s. She is survived by one son, Robert G. Lucadello, II, of San Francisco, Calif.; one daughter, Victoria Lucadello of Easthampton; and one brother, Edward Praxel and one sister, Priscilla Praxel, both of Washington.

  1. Alumni from the later ’90s and early ’00s may remember Lorraine from the StuBop, where she worked part-time after her retirement from the Head’s office.

  2. Lorraine was truly a wonderful and kind woman. She and I shared a love of cats. I found one and she took the cat in to her home. On my birthday one year she sent me a card with pictures of the cat enclosed. She wrote that I was a good person for helping the cat but she was the good person. I will miss her dearly
