Hey Wildcats!

Friday April 19      Sunny High 60’s, possible passing shower.

  • Middle School Social in the gym 6:30-9pm Swim and Volleyball
  • 9th Grade Social in 194 Main St.    T-Shirt Design Competition 7-8 p.m.
  • Come beautify with healthy edible facials for girls in Mem East from 8-9 p.m. on Friday night.  Bring a towel.  Whatever we don’t use, we’ll have in smoothies.
  • Open Gym 9:00-10:50 p.m.
  • Open Reed 7:15-10:45pm Showing “Taking Root-The Vision of Wangari Maathai” in honor of Earth Day 2013 w/popcorn 7:10pm
  • Shuttle to Northampton 7:15-10:45pm

  • Trip to the Movies  1-5 p.m.
  • Willy Gras T-shirt designs due Sunday.  Templates are on the activities board.  Hand them to Mr. Spearing or slide them under the door of the Activities Office.

Long Weekend

Wednesday Menu: April 17

Breakfast
Fried dough, home fries, banana or apple fritters, yogurt bar, make your own waffle
assorted eggs and omelets at  the grill, Fruit smoothies

Lunch
Vegetarian split pea or soup du jour, cheese calzones, Italian style Stromboli with salami, pepperoni and ham, polenta, fish nuggets, chicken stir fry, vegetable lo-mien, mixed vegetables

Pasta station: pasta, marinara or herb sauce, broccoli

Dinner
Boneless breast of chicken, dirty rice, Cajun shrimp and rice, chickpea-couscous croquettes, Catalina-blend vegetables

Pasta bar: pasta, marinara or garlic sauce, roasted vegetables

Breakfast
Sausage, hash browns, make your own waffle, yogurt bar, breakfast sandwiches

Lunch
Chicken rice or matzo ball soup, French toast sticks, poached eggs, baked ham, O’Brian/rosemary roasted potatoes, vegetable quiche, assorted bagels-cream cheese

Grill: Scrambles eggs or egg whites
Pasta bar: Asian or rice noodles, vegetable or chicken broth, grilled chicken, sticky rice, pasta, marinara or meat sauce

Dinner
Chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, stuffed Portobello mushrooms, Italian-blend vegetables

Pasta station: jumbo cheese ravioli, breaded ravioli, marinara, meat or alfredo sauce  bread sticks
Grill: hot or sweet Italian sausage grinders, sautéed peppers and onions

Monday Menu: April 15

Poached eggs, home fries, corned beef hash, yogurt bar
assorted eggs at the grill

Lunch
Vegetable or tomato soup, hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas and baby carrots, macaroni and cheese, baked fish natural cut

Pasta bar: gnocchi, marinara or alfredo sauce
Panini station with sliced pastrami, corned beef, Swiss cheese and assorted vegetables, ciabatta bread

Dinner
Breaded veal cutlet, marinara or mushroom sauce, roasted potatoes, green beans, baked sole, roasted honey chick peas

Pasta bar: pasta, marinara or meat sauce, ratatouille vegetables

Sunday Menu: April 14

Brunch
French toast sticks, sausage, hash browns, make your own waffles-toppings, vegetable frittata, warm cinnamon rolls, assorted eggs and omelets at  the grill

Dinner
Assorted deli meats and cheeses, turkey, roast beef, tuna, hummus, provolone and Swiss, rolls, assorted soups, pasta bar with manicotti

Breakfast
Egg cheese and potato bake skillet bake, monkey bread, bacon, home fries
assorted eggs and omelets at the grill

Lunch
Breaded or unbreaded chicken fillets, BBQ or teriyaki sauces, spicy orange tempeh with vegetables, American chop suey with meat, broccoli and carrots

Pasta bar: chef’s choice pasta, marinara  sauce

Dinner
Country fried steak, tomato sauce or gravy, mashed potato, cauliflower and carrots, stuffed zucchini, onion rings, crab cakes

Demerath in Concert on April 27

Williston’s own Ben Demerath will be playing in a concert at the Iron Music Hall on Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m. with Chris Brashear.

This is also a CD release concert for Heart Of The Country, Mr. Brashear’s project that was released late in 2012 and reached No. 1 on the International Folk Music DJ list last November. The album features guest artists Pat Enright, Mike Compton, Tim O’Brien, Al Perkins and Todd Phillips and is produced by Grammy Award winner Jim Rooney (Nanci Griffith, Iris Dement and John Prine).

Mr. Brashear and Mr. Demerath will be joined by the wonderful Paul Kochanski on bass along with Mr. Brashear’s daughter, Hollis Brashear, who sings on Heart Of The Country. Mr. Brashear is a wonderful singer, songwriter and musician as a virtuoso fiddle, mandolin and guitar player who’s been playing with Robin and Linda Williams for several years now.

Mr. Demerath says, “We’re having a lot of fun working up arrangements of each other’s songs along with some new ones and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with him.”

Tickets are available at the Northampton Box Office or from Mr. Demerath. Cost is $12.50 in advance and $15.00 at the door.
