Baked lemon-garlic breast of chicken, scalloped potato, pork spare ribs, vegetarian entrée, fresh vegetable

We the People Trip Details

This is the basic information for the upcoming We the People program that the AP US History classes will participate in from April 26th to April 30th. Please share with anyone who is interested. In addition to the many family members making the trip with us, we welcome DC area Williston Northampton alumni and friends to join us for the hearing presentations.

We will depart from campus at 9:45 am (following E block) on Friday, April 26th.

We depart from Bradley at 11:51 am and arrive at Reagan National Airport (DCA) 1:12 pm

We present at George Mason University:
Saturday, April 27th from 5:00 pm to 7:20 pm in Innovation Hall Room 204
Sunday, April 28th from 11:40 am to 2:00 pm in Innovation Hall Room 204
And possibly, on Capitol Hill on Monday, April 29th –TBA.

Along with visits to Mount Vernon, the Smithsonian and the Lincoln, Iwo Jima and MLK Memorials, we will be laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday evening, April 29th at 6:15 pm.  Four students will have the honor of placing the wreath by the tomb—the rest of us will bear witness.

We depart from Reagan National Airport on Tuesday, April 30th at 2:45 pm and arrive at Bradley at 4:03 pm.

We should return to Williston by 6 pm.

  • Sign up to help clean up Northampton Homeless Shelter Sunday April 28 at 9:30 a.m. http://www.shelterlistings.org/details/31786/   As you heard from me in assembly, we are going there on Sunday April 28, at 9:30 a.m. to help them do their seasonal cleanup for a couple of hours.  They will provide Munchkins and all the cleaning supplies.  There are gloves for all the helpers to wear.  This is during Long Weekend, but many of us will be around to help.  “We make a living by what we get. Creamy potato and cheese  soup or soup du jour,  meat lasagna, cheese  lasagna, fish and chips, tempeh stir fry, Italian blend vegetables

Pasta bar: marinara sauce,  bread sticks
Burger and chicken slidestation

Dinner
Roast top round of beef-au jus, orzo and vegetables, baked potato, broccoli, seafood bake

Grill:assorted omelet
Pasta station: gemelle, marinara sauce,  pesto sauce
Pizza station: cheese or pepperoni

Wednesday Menu: April 3

Breakfast
Breakfast wraps with egg, ham and cheese, sausage, home fries, hot cereal, yogurt
assorted eggs and omelets at the grill, fruit smoothies

Lunch
Tomato soup or soup du jour, grilled cheese, grilled cheese on wheat, American chop suey with meat, vegetarian curried lentil stew, corn, assorted wraps-roast beef  and tuna
Pasta station: pasta, marinara sauce, ratatouille vegetables

Dinner
Grilled bratwurst, Dijon chicken, potato pancakes with assorted toppings, dill carrots, Prince Edward Isle blend vegetables, vegetarian golumpki

Pasta station: cheese manicotti, marinara sauce, meat sauce and alfredo sauce, pretzels at grill

Tuesday Menu: April 2

Breakfast
Hash browns, sausage, monkey bread, yogurt bar

Lunch
Tortellini or Caldo Verde soup, cheese calzones, Stromboli with turkey, ham and Swiss cheese, vegetable stromboli, tomato or pesto sauce, vegetable and pasta sauté, zucchini and summer squash

Grill: teriyaki chicken and vegetables with rice
Pasta station: pasta, marinara sauce, herb sauce and mushroom medley sauté

Dinner
Roast turkey sliced to order, couscous pilaf, mashed potato, bread stuffing, gravy, peas and baby carrots, butternut squash, apple yam casserole, stuffed sole

Grill: French toast
Pasta station: fettuccini, marinara sauce, meat sauce, sweet Italian sausage

Monday Menu: April 1

Breakfast
Poached eggs, corned beef hash, home fries, yogurt bar
Grill: assorted eggs

Lunch
Vegetarian split pea or mulligatawny soup, BBQ pork fillet, vegetarian blackend tofu, Capri  blend vegetables
Pasta bar:  meat ravioli,  cheese tortellini, tomato or herb sauce

Create-your-own Panini-roast beef and assorted vegetables, grilled chicken,  ciabatta bread

Dinner
Beef Sirloin Tips with mushroom sauce, egg noodles, shrimp Orleans, grilled tofu, green beans, onion rings

Taming the Wildcat

In 1939, The Willistonian conducted a poll to decide Williston’s nickname. Now, almost three-quarters of a century later, The Willistonian will conduct a second poll to vote on the official design of the Williston Wildcat. Since the Wildcat is a common team mascot used by many schools, “we want people from both within the community and outside, to say, ‘hey, that’s the Williston wildcat!’”, says Athletic Director Mark Conroy.
