We the People on Thursday

From the Daily Hampshire Gazette

EASTHAMPTON — Easthampton High School and The Williston Northampton School have rescheduled a civics matchup for later this week.

On Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Dodge Room of the Reed Campus Center at Williston, students from the two schools will combine forces in a series of mock congressional hearings as practice for their participation in next month’s statewide We the People competition. The event is free and open to the public.

Students will field questions designed to show their knowledge of the U.S. Constitution. A panel of judges made up of parents, teachers and school officials will score their responses.

Clarification: Upcoming Banquet

To all Faculty and Upper School Students,
As was mentioned in Mr. Hill’s invitation, we are trying to get an accurate head count for the upcoming Community Dinner on Tuesday, Dec. 11th. We’d like to clarify the expectation for RSVP’s for this event. The expectation is that all Residential (on-campus) Faculty and Students will attend and need not RSVP. However, we would like to account for the faculty families, off-campus faculty, and day students that will be attending, thus we ask for you to email or call Leah Zell with a number of family members attending the dinner or a name for day students wishing to attend. While we understand the short time frame, we ask that this be done by the end of today (Tuesday, Dec. 4th) as quantities of food need to be ordered.  Thank you so much for your cooperation and we look forward to an outstanding evening.

Ms. Noble
