What a great day! The largest number of middle schools ever sat for a math event and the 8th grade team pulled in their highest score!
On March 1st, almost half of the Middle School sat for the 7th and 8th grade divisions of the New England Math League! This is the largest number of middle school students to ever compete in a math event at Williston!
The team scores for each division is the sum of the top 5 scorers. Here are the top 5. Please join me in congratulating them and everyone who participated!
8th Grade – Top Finishers: Team score = 115 (New school high score!)

7th Grade – Top Finishers: Team score = 57
1st – Emma Fein

The NEML7+8 results just came in!
Our 7th graders earned a team score of 104 which earned them the 10th place team finish in all of New England and 4th place in the region!
Our 8th graders earned a team score of 103 which earned them the 25th place team finish in all of New England!
These are the highest team finishes ever for Williston!
Also… 7th grader Leo Ahtaridis earned 15th place out of all 7th graders in New England!

Last week 20 middle schoolers sat for the 7th and 8th grade rounds of the New England Math League!
Congratulations to Catie Spence, Lila Nields-Duffy, and Hudson Fulcher Melendy for placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the 7th grade competition and to Alexander Calianos, Sophie Edmunds, and Isabella Epstein for placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the 8th grade competition!
